[fashion] Spring/Summer Dress Obsession

I'm obsessing over this Lovers + Friends dress that Olivia Munn is wearing. For a couple weeks now, I've been searching for a dress for my younger sister's graduation ceremony. This colorful, maxi dress seems pretty perfect.

[recipe] Citrus and Basil Sangria

I love sangria, especially during the warmer months! Five different recipes were featured on Glitter Guide today, and this one above looked so yummy that I thought I'd share it! Recipe (from What's Gaby Cooking) is featured below.

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup water 
• 1/4 cup sugar 
• 10 basil leaves 
• 1 bottle sauvignon blanc 
• 1 blood orange, sliced into thin rounds 
• 1 cara cara, sliced into thin rounds 
• 1 tangelo, sliced into thin rounds 
• 1 handful strawberries, sliced 
• 1 meyer lemon, skin peeled into strips and added - save juice for another use 1/4 cup brandy 
• 1 cup blood orange italian soda 
• 1/4 cup tangerine juice

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan combine the water and sugar over high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Turn the heat off and add the basil leaves. Stir the simple syrup to combine and let the basil leaves sit for 20 minutes while the mixture cools.
2. Meanwhile, in a large pitcher, combine the white wine, italian soda, citrus slices, strawberries, meyer lemon skin, brandy and tangerine juice. Stir to combine. Add the cooled basil simple syrup and stir. Let the sangria hang out for about 1 hour and then serve over ice.

[fashion] WM Open Style

This coming weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the year! It's the WM Phoenix Open here in Scottsdale, and it's supposed to be a gorgeous 73 degrees outside. For the 3rd year, the tournament is asking attendees to wear green to show support for the green efforts of the tournament. I don't have many green options in my closet, so I'll be wearing something very similar the the outfit below. And in case you're wondering, "THAT'S what you're wearing to a golf tournament?!" Well, yes, it is what I'm wearing, and believe me compared to other outfits I'll see on Saturday, this is modest.
